A COP who detained the Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill was heard making a shocking admission in released bodycam footage.
Videos from the NFL star’s arrest, before his team’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, were made available.

A shocking moment from the over 105 minutes of footage showed one of the police officers reveal he had no clue who Hill was.
An interaction between two cops showed how lost the athlete’s identity was one of them, according to video’s shared by CBS.
“You know who that is right? You know who that is?” one cop said to another.
The second officer says no prompting the first cop to share Hill’s celebrity status.
“One of the Dolphins star players,” the first cop said.
“Oh yeah?” the second officer said in response.
The bodycam footage then showed the clueless officer go back to attempting to work on a laptop during the arrest, while other cops restrained Hill.
Minutes before this the NFL star had been placed in handcuffs after he was pulled over on his way to his team’s season opener.
Hill was dragged out of his car by police and forced to face the ground as he was restrained.
“Take me to jail, brother,” Hill said.
“Do what you have to do.”
Police were then heard telling Hill to “stop crying” during the arrest.
“When we tell you to do something, you do it. You understand?” a cop said.
“Not what you want, what we tell you. You’re a little f**king confused.”
Miami Dolphins' statement
The Dolphins issued a statement following the release of the bodycam footage:
“We are saddened by the overly aggressive and violent conduct directed towards Tyreek Hill, Calais Campbell and Jonnu Smith by police officers before yesterday’s game. It is both maddening and heartbreaking to watch the very people we trust to protect our community use such unnecessary force and hostility towards these players, yet it is also a reminder that not every situation like this ends in peace, as we are grateful this one did. ‘What if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill?’ is a question that will carry with resounding impact.
“We are proud to have a strong and positive relationship with the Miami-Dade Police Department and other law enforcement agencies and recognize that the vast majority of officers do serve the community with the utmost character and desire to protect all citizens. However, as is on full display in the videos released tonight, there are some officers who mistake their responsibility and commitment to serve with misguided power. While we commend MDPD for taking the right and necessary action to quickly release this footage, we also urge them to take equally swift and strong action against the officers who engaged in such despicable behavior.
“We will stand beside Tyreek and our players as they work to use their platform and this situation to make a positive impact in our community. We have always believed that the game of football holds a unique power to bring people together, and we remain hopeful that through the collective work of the players, organization and our community partners, we can create lasting change.”
Hill was held down by a cop who grabbed his hands and put his knee on the football player’s back.
The wide receiver was also heard talking on the phone as he was pulled out of his vehicle.
“Aye Drew, aye Drew, I’m getting arrested,” Hill said, presumably to his agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Later in the bodycam footage, Hill was told to sit on the curb but the NFL star tried to explain his recent knee surgery meant he could not.
Another cop came and forced him to the ground.
A different officer sarcastically responded: “Really? What a coincidence… you could have surgery on your ears when we told you to put your window down.”
POLICE RESPONSE
The Miami-Dade Police Department said it had released the footage as a commitment to “transparency and maintaining public trust.”
It also revealed an internal investigation was being held into the matter and an unnamed officer was subsequently placed on leave.
HILL’S STATEMENT
The wide receiver shared a post on X after the bodycam footage was made public.
“Let’s make a change,” he said.
Hill also addressed the situation and his thoughts in an interview with CBS.
“Little did I know there was quite a surprise on the way man but you know what at the end of the day dawg I got a job to do,” Hill said.
“My job is to come inside this stadium and be great.”
He also explained how he felt his fame had impacted the arrest.
“If I wasn’t Tyreek Hill, worst-case scenario, we would have had a different article: ‘Tyreek Hill got shot in front of Hard Rock Stadium’ … or ‘Tyreek Hill put in handcuffs, taken in and booked,'” he added.
