THE NFL is proceeding as expected for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs playoff opener.
On Saturday, January 13, the Chiefs and Miami Dolphins are scheduled to play in one of the coldest games in league playoff history.

When Kansas City and Miami kick off at 8 pm ET on Saturday night, the temperature is expected to be 4 degrees with a wind chill of -16, according to the National Weather Service.
If the projection is valid, it would be the coldest game ever in Dolphins franchise history.
This spells good news for the Chiefs, considering Miami has lost 10 straight games when the kickoff temperature is 40 degrees or below.
If the kickoff temperature drops to 5 degrees, Saturday’s game will be the coldest in the NFL since December 2016.
Despite the frigid temperatures and winter storms due to hit Missouri, the NFL is not making any changes to the playoff schedule, per Andy Slater.
With the coming storms, ticket prices are also being impacted.
It’s only $100 to get a lower-level seat, according to SeatGeek.
The entry fee for an upper deck ticket is just $56.
Local Kansas City fans watching at home will have access to the game on cable, but the rest of the country won’t.
Kansas City and Miami’s Wild Card Weekend game will be the first-ever exclusively streamed playoff game.
The game will stream live on Peacock.
There’s no current free trial for the streaming service.
