The 30-year-old even took the field against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, securing two catches for 39 yards.

Prior to Sunday’s game, Chosen only played sporadically for the Dolphins, making just one catch for a 68-yard touchdown.

After going undrafted in 2016, the Temple graduate began his career with the New York Jets before moving on to the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals.

His best season came in 2020, when he generated 1,096 receiving yards in Carolina.

The following August, Chosen and the Panthers agreed on a two-year, $29.5 million deal, leading to $43 million in career earnings.

Chosen, who was born Robby Anderson, joined the Dolphins early this season.

To create a spot for the wideout, the Dolphins released running back Jake Funk from the practice squad.

Since the Raiders game, Chosen has reverted to the Dolphins practice squad.

Chosen has not revealed the exact details about why he changed his name.

But it appears that the NFL player wanted a fresh start in his life.

“I want to keep it intimate but it was a positive thing,” Chosen told the Palm Beach Post.

“It’s something I’m very grateful for and something I feel strongly about.

“This is my new era and direction.

“Kind of like a foundational thing moving forward for my generations.”
