EMMANUEL Ogbah, who won the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs, is being released by the Miami Dolphins, as the team look to shed salary and clear cap space.
Defensive end Ogbah and cornerback Xavien Howard, both 30, will not be at the Dolphins next season.

He started his pro career with the Cleveland Browns between 2016 and 2018, before joining the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2019 season.
The Chiefs ended that season by beating the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl, starting their dynasty that has now brought three Super Bowls in five years.
Ogbah signed for Miami in 2020, and impressed at times in his first two seasons, posting 18 combined sacks in 2020 and 2021. But a triceps injury then limited him to just nine games in 2022.
The veteran bounced back for 5.5 sacks last season, but the Dolphins will be saving $13.7 million in 2024 with his release.
Howard, the Dolphins’ longest-tenured player, represented a $25.9 million cap hit in 2024.
Cutting him after June 1 would save Miami $18.5 million in 2024 while creating roughly $23 million in dead cap over the next two seasons.
Releasing him prior to June 1 would save $2.8 million at most, with up to $30 million in dead cap in 2024.
Only Justin Simmons has more interceptions than Howard’s 29 for Miami since 2016.
But there has been significant tension along the way between Miami and Howard.
The Dolphins signed cornerback Byron Jones to a five-year, $82.5 million contract in 2020 that eclipsed Howard’s, before using a first-round pick on cornerback Noah Igbinoghene.
Miami were second in the AFC East in 2023 with an 11-6 record, before they lost to the Chiefs on Wild Card Weekend.
