MIAMI Dolphins running back De’Von Achane has seemingly been hitting the weight room hard this offseason.
The former Texas A&M star, 22, is fresh off of a sensational rookie season for coach Mike McDaniel’s Dolphins.

The former third-round pick looked to have bulked up since January prompting an array of comments on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Had to bulk up some if he wanted to last in the NFL long-term. Good to see,” one comment read.
“2,500-yard season incoming,” said a second.
“Dude put on weight for real…. This is exciting!!” a third added.
While another warned, “Risky, could lose some speed.”
Achane broke out in a big way during Miami’s 70-20 Week 4 win against the Denver Broncos last season.
He finished the game having rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns, adding another 30 yards and two more scores through the air.
Over the next two weeks, Achane amassed 252 rushing yards and three touchdowns as he solidified himself as a Rookie of the Year candidate.
Unfortunately for Achane and the Dolphins, he landed on injured reserve following his first start in Week 5 with a knee injury, causing him to miss the next four games.
He returned to start in Week 11, only to rush just once for a single yard before missing the following week with another knee issue.
Week 13 saw Achane return for good, rushing for 73 yards and two touchdowns against the Washington Commanders in a 45-15 win.
But it wasn’t until Week 17 in a 56-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens that Achane hit triple digits rushing again with 107 yards.
He closed out his rookie campaign with just nine yards on six carries against the Kansas City Chiefs at a freezing-cold Arrowhead Stadium as they lost 26-7.
Achane averaged 7.8 yards per carry in his rookie year[/caption]All in all, in just 11 appearances Achane rushed for 800 yards for an average of 7.8 per carry, totaling 917 yards and 11 touchdowns from scrimmage.
He now heads into his second season with a Dolphins team that has seen numerous high-profile departures and additions this offseason.
Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah, cornerback Xavien Howard, and linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel were among those to leave via free agency.
Tight end Jonnu Smith, defensive tackle Neville Gallimore, linebacker Jordyn Brooks, and safety Jordan Poyer all joined.
Miami is also slated to pick 21st overall in the upcoming NFL Draft, with six picks in total.
