Michaels was alongside football analyst Herbstreit for the game, and the two were discussing their thoughts on the outfit selection from the coach.
“It’s like he wears everything like plus fours on the sidelines,” Michaels said as the camera zooms in on McDaniel’s.
“Look at that. He’s got his shoe game going.
“This is not your typical head coach attire.
“Bill Belichick is not going to come out in that anytime soon…
“The off-white Nike is pretty strong play by him,” Herbstreit responded.
Michaels agreed and said McDaniel’s isn’t “your typical coach, period,” and there has never been a coach like him.
NFL fans swarmed to X, formerly known as Twitter, with their reactions to the Dolphins head coach outfit selection
One fan said: “FOUR Superbowls? FOUR? Al Michaels needs to retire.”
Another: “Can you think of somebody comparable”? Mike McDaniel is one of a kind, and I am a bigger fan of him, than his team or players.”
A Third stated: “Not in a million years would I guess this is a Head Coach of a pro football team.”
And a fourth: “His Fashion is awesome.”
While some fans shared in the comments that they didn’t like the outfit choice from McDaneil’s.
