NFL quarterback Tua Tagovailoa really took Ryan Clark’s remarks about his weight personally, his Miami Dolphins teammate Tyreek Hill has revealed.
Before the start of the 2023 season, the ESPN analyst said the Dolphins QB didn’t seem like he had followed his nutritionist’s advice and called him “thick.”

“There’s a mixture of things that people don’t understand, that people don’t know about, that people talk about that go on behind the scenes,” the Dolphins star said afterward.
“So I’d appreciate if you kept my name out your mouth, that’s what I’d say.”
The beef came up in Hill’s recent appearance on Clark’s The Pivot podcast.
“I’m so glad we’re getting into that now,” the Dolphins wideout said as the First Take star’s face froze and his co-hosts Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor burst out laughing.
“Why did you say that about him?”
Clark then once again explained he thought the remark was an innocuous joke.
The ESPN analyst added he was made aware the Dolphins passer was really upset at the time, but they later “chopped it up” in a phone call.
“Them boy had posters of you in the locker room and everything,” Hill chimed in.
“Hey, you were going to get it, bro.
“He was like, ‘The next time he says my name on TV, it’s on.’
“I was like, let me get Ryan’s number… hey say that again one more time. Whatever you said, do it again.”
Clark recently signed a new contract with ESPN.
It came after the retired safety revealed the two sides disagreed on his salary during negotiations.
